BED&breakfast
l'antico torchio

Like a solid base, oak staves and the central screw are the basic elements for an efficient wine press, so hospitality, comfort and well-being are the distinctive qualities of our B&B L’Antico Torchio.

Located in the Italian town of Dormelletto, the Bed and Breakfast L’Antico Torchio is housed in an elegant 18th-century villa, in a simple and discreet environment. Guests are welcomed by the object inspiring the name of our B&B: the old wine press, which was an essential element for the local inhabitants during the last century. The furniture style provides hospitality and warmth, while the large front garden, which frames the villa, is perfect for moments of pure peace in contact with nature. Thanks to its strategic position – only a few minutes from the most beautiful beaches of the Lake Maggiore, the natural park Lagoni di Mercurago and many other touristic places – our B&B is the right choice for your stay.
L’Antico Torchio is housed in an 18th-century villa belonged to Francesco Cazzamini Mussi, a writer, poet and literary critic born in Milan in 1888. In the  comfortable reception room, you can run into the object that gives the name to the B&B: the majestic oak wine press. The story has it that once a year, in October, the villa owner had to open the doors of his villa to the entire village so that many local winemakers could use his beloved wine press, being the only one in the whole Dormelletto.
On the ground floor, there are also three double rooms, the breakfast room and a small internal garden for our guests. On the first floor, you can find the other three rooms and a large bright hall that can be rented and therefore you are not allowed to go into without permission.
With nice weather, you can enjoy staying outdoors in the large, equipped front garden that frames the villa.
Private parking available, to be booked in advance.
